The New Researchers Group (NRG) exists under the auspices of the Institute for Mathematical Statistics (IMS).
The IMS New Researcher Group is organizing a virtual panel discussion. This event brings together statisticians working across a range of industries—including tech and healthcare— to share how statistical thinking is driving impact in the era of AI. Panelists will discuss the evolving role of statisticians in data science teams, how to build a career in industry, and the skills most in demand today. The panelists have extensive research experience both in academia and industry.
Time: May, 16th, 9-10am PT. Note that the session will NOT be recorded.
